Our goal is to provide a resource for both professors and students who want open access textbook options for undergraduate courses. We only list texts that are freely available. Our view is that education should be as open as possible and that the traditional university textbook model is outdated.

Alistair Savage
Founder
Associate Professor, Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Ottawa
Alistair completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics at the University of British Columbia, and his Ph.D. in mathematics at Yale University. He is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa. He is an active researcher in abstract algebra and teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In his teaching, he uses open access textbooks whenever possible.

Jason has an extensive background in web development and helps lead our online initiatives. He has a particular interest in making education more open and accessible to everyone.
